Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Panini WM 2026 Sticker Tracker website (https://paniniwm2026sticker.com) collects, how that information is used, and the choices visitors have. The site is an unofficial, fan-made checklist and tracker that runs almost entirely in your browser. We do not require an account, and we do our best to keep data collection minimal and transparent.
1. Who runs this site
The Panini WM 2026 Sticker Tracker is operated as an independent, non-commercial fan project by a small team of football sticker collectors. We are not affiliated with Panini, FIFA, or the FIFA World Cup. If you have any privacy questions, please use the details on our Contact page.
2. Summary of what we collect
- Sticker collection progressstored only in your browser's
localStorage. We never transmit this data to our servers. - Aggregated, anonymous traffic analytics collected by Google Analytics 4 to help us improve the checklist and tracker tools.
- Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners when ads are served on our pages.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) such as IP address, user-agent, and request path, used for security and abuse prevention.
We do not ask you to register, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run our own newsletter or email collection forms.
3. Information stored in your browser (localStorage)
The checklist, tracker, and missing list tools save your owned and duplicate sticker counts in your browser using the standard localStorage API. This data stays on your device and is read back only when you reopen the relevant page on the same browser and profile. It is not transmitted to our servers, it is not shared with third parties, and it is not used to build a profile of you. The only fields stored are sticker IDs, duplicate counts, and a small JSON object describing your filters.
You can clear this data at any time. The tracker page includes a "Clear Local Data" control, and you can also use your browser's normal site-data settings to remove everything we have stored.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file a site can save in your browser. We use cookies for two purposes: analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Google AdSense). We do not set any first-party tracking cookies of our own.
- Functional storage: technical
localStorageentries needed for the checklist tools to work. These are not cookies, are first-party, and are never sent to a server. - Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics 4 to count visitors, measure page performance, and understand which pages collectors find most useful.
- Advertising cookies: set by Google AdSense and its certified vendors to deliver and measure ads.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies may mean you see less relevant ads, but it will not change the functionality of the checklist or tracker tools.
5. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-X58PE5XNTB) to understand how visitors use the site at an aggregated level. The information sent to Google Analytics includes the page URL, referrer, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, and basic interaction events. We have enabled IP truncation where supported by Google, and we do not link analytics data to any personally identifiable information.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own privacy statement is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Google AdSense and advertising partners
Some pages on this site display advertisements served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5653927516423807). Google and its third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google uses advertising cookies to enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or the European equivalent at www.youronlinechoices.eu. More detail on how Google uses information from sites that use its advertising services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
7. Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare automatically processes basic request metadata such as IP address, user-agent string, requested URL, and response status for the purposes of delivering the site, mitigating denial of service attacks, and preventing abuse. These logs are not used for marketing and are retained for the period defined by Cloudflare's own policies.
8. Outbound links to Panini and other third parties
The site links to product pages on the official Panini Store and Panini America websites so that readers can buy stickers, boxes, or albums directly from official sources. Once you click an outbound link, you are subject to the privacy policy and terms of that third-party site. We do not control what those sites collect or how they use it. Please see our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure for more details on how those links work.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data processed about you. Because we do not collect direct identifiers and do not maintain user accounts, most rights are satisfied automatically. Still, we honour the following principles:
- EU / UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent; for hosting logs it is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
- California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell personal information for monetary value. We rely on Google's opt-out tools above for advertising preferences.
- Everywhere else: contact us using the details on the Contact page and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Children's privacy
The site is intended for a general audience of football sticker collectors. It is not directed at children under 13, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not target advertising to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this site, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
11. Data retention
Sticker progress in localStoragestays on your device until you clear it. Analytics data retained by Google Analytics 4 follows the standard 14-month retention setting unless we change it in our Google Analytics property. Advertising cookies follow Google's retention rules described in the links above.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we change analytics providers or add a new feature. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a short period.
13. Contact us
For any question about this policy, including data deletion requests, please reach us via the Contact page. We aim to respond within five working days.
